The Rapp 4 U-8’s, coached by Ricky Shaw and Anders Drew played at Madison Wrangler. Trevor Achilles was goal scorer with a great defensive team consisting of Grace Ott, Annie Bennet, and Felicia Stoneciapher. Their first game on April 6 was played at RCES against Madison 2. The coaches were pleased with the way the team played. Lauren Eline scored a first goal and Trevor Achilles had an excellent save that would have resulted in a goal had he not kicked it away!
The Rapp U-10 girls, the Hurricanes, won 4-2 in Orange. The girls played another great game, keeping their shape and space, and playing in Orange’s half of the field most of the game. Meredith Reeve and Joslyn Smith both scored while Marcella Wallace kicked in a pair. Brittany Stephens played her usual strong defense and was strong at forward in the second half.
Taylor Light was rock steady in goal and had some beautiful punts up the field. We play Orange again this coming Saturday, in Rappahannock.
