The draft budget also included projected income and expenditures for the current year. Projections indicate that revenue will exceed $313,000 and that expenditures will amount to just over $174,000 compared to [budgeted income and expenditures of $285,150.
Treasurer’s report
Treasurer Alice Butler repprted on the Tbwn’s finances, noting consolidated assets of $697,730.75, down slightly from that noted in March, and water works assets of $9,7Q3.18 through the close of the March reporting period.

, ,• A work session on the Town’s new zoning ordinance was scheduled for Mav 1 at 6:30 p.m.
. • The Mayor agreed, at that meeting, to discuss Mary Ann Kuhn’s request to change the ordinance to permit the Middleton Inn “to provide more services to the community,” including “catering events and weddings and providing hospitality services to the community and the public.”
• The Mayor presented proposed changes to the Town Hall use policy that provides the Town with greater protection against damage by requiring, among other things, a security deposit from all users. The Town Council approved the changes.
• During the Public Forum Ray Gooch spoke about the upcoming Town election and his hopes that it will be “open and fair.” He complained that there have incidents of voting by unqualified individuals in past elections and that in a recent phone campaign “callers are
suggesting a vote against certain candidates.”
