Rappahannock Youth Soccer League played its second weekend of games, Saturday April 13.
Jim Oyster’s U-8 Red Rockets played Madison 5 at RCES on Saturday.
The Red Rockets won in a close game with an air-tight defense. Andrew Oyster made a number of great stops against very gifted players from Madison. Robbie Adams showed excellent foot speed and an aggressive style of play. K.T. Milam played tough on both offense and defense. Marie Davis-Roman led a vocal group of parents from the side-lines. All the players on both teams deserve a round of applause for an exciting contest.
Former U-8 coaching partners teamed up against each other Saturday morning.,/:
Coach Hazel, Rapp Grapes and Hogan’s Blue Panthers, met in a friendly inter-county match. Rapp Grapes proved the victor with good match play by Case Kramer. The Blue Panthers had especially good hustle and team play from Seth Wayland and Maria Lee. The score was 3-0. The U-8 participation is up this season with four Rapp U-8 soc
