The webs vary with the species of Sheet-Web Spider— from flat, to bowl, to dome shaped. At first look, the webs of Sheet-Web Spiders seem terribly disorganized, with strands apparently going everywhere.
On closer viewing, the genius of the design becomes apparent. What seems like chaos is actually a beautifully formed sheet of webbing - (hence the subfamily name), spiraling out in a circle, with a lot of vertical and horizontal strands holding it to the blades of grass from which it is suspended.
