This is certainly true for attendees of the 16th annual Rappahannock Nature Camp that will begin June 30.
This day camp is sponsored by the Piedmont Environmental Council and Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection.
This year’s activities will include games and songs, hiking, dam-building in the Hazel River, getting to know various local wild animals, caring for flowers and trees and producing a camp newspaper.
Equally exciting is exploring local forests, meadows, rivers and ponds of the Singing Creek property located on the scenic Hazel River, where the camp is held.
