Three Cub Scouts of Pack 123 attended the Webelos (We’ll be Loyal Scouts) Woods Crossover Campout at Camp Rock Enon near Gore, Va. where they progressed from Cub to Boy Scouts on the weekend of April 4-6.
Daniel Clement, Aidan Demolli and Dustin Milam accompanied by Troop 36 Scout Gavin Forrest enjoyed a weekend of camping and learning tlag etiquette, basketry, knot tying, safety and first aid. In doing so the Scouts made progress towards Boy Scout 'Ihnderfoot rank.
After a dinner of chicken wings and baked beans served in the dining hall Saturday evening, the Scouts were reunited with their families and proceeded in a silent march to the Council campfire site.
The natural amphitheater and a bonfire provided the perfect ambiance for the ceremony to follow. In this ceremony, the Scouts cross a bridge of lashed logs symbolizing their progression from Cub to Boy Scouting.
