“Gangs of New York,” a period epic of hatred and fire, is set in Manhattan’s Lower East Side.
Director Martin Scorsese stages an entirely engrossing moment in New York’s history in this vivid picture of the brutality and raw energy of the Five Points area starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Daniel Day-Lewis and * Cameron Diaz.
The film will be shown at The Theatre in Little Washington on Gay Street on Friday, May 16 at 8 p.m.
