Sherertz for sheriff rallies

The public is invited to meet with Larry Sherertz, incumbent candidate for Sheriff of Rappahannock County, at an informal gathering on Tuesday, Sept. 16 at the Chester Gap Fire Hall and Thursday. Sept. 18 at the Flint Hill Fire Hall from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. each night. Sherertz will meet with attendees, discuss the agenda and answer questions. Refreshments will be served.

Farmers' group to meet

The next quarterly meeting of the Small Ruminants Committee of the Rappahannock Farmers Association will meet on Sept. 14 at 6 p.m. at Nan McEvoy’s Skye High Farm, 13782 Crest Hill Road in Flint Hill. Music festival Sept. 20-21

The eighth annual Rappahannock Music Festival is set for Saturday Sept. 20 and Sunday Sept 21. The two-day free concert featuring local musicians will be in the ball field behind Mountainside Market in Sperryville. The concerts, beginning at 12:30 p.m. and ending at 9:30 p.m. are outdoors. Yoga classes to begin

Sun and Moon Yoga Studio of Rappahannock will begin fall Yoga classes on Sept. 15 at the Belle Meade Bed and Breakfast Schoolhouse, FT Valley Road. (Route 231). The semester runs 14 weeks until Dec: 21 and classes are appropriate for all lovels. Registration information and forms may be obtained from the website www.sunandmoonstudio.com and mailed to Box 348, Sperryville, Va. 22740 or picked up at the schoolhouse at the first session. Fees are $10 a class. $140 a session and $12 for drop-ins. Monday classes are from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon and are taught by JJ Gormley. Thursday classes are from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and taught by Mary O’Meara. The first session is free for new students.
