Civil War trip on Sept. 20
The Blue Ridge Civil War Round Table is sponsoring a bus trip to Pamplin Historical Park on Saturday, Sept. 20. It will be leaving the parking lot of the Amissville Baptist Church at 8 a.m. and returning by 5:30 p.m. The cost is $35 per person (lunch not included). Tribal belly dancing

Bethel Baptist to hold revival
The Bethel Baptist Church in Amissville will hold a revival from Sept. 15-29 with a different speaker each night at 7:30 p.m. Homecoming Day is Sept. 21 with Rev. David Tillman speaker. Lunch will be served following the morning service. Rev. Forrest L. Freeman, pastor, invites all to attend.
