In the two years since terrorists struck Washington, D C., and New York City, security has taken a prominent place in the public eye.
Beefing up security affected nearly every aspect of American lives on the local and national levels. From the federal level to commercial businesses and to local schools, people are faced with the issue of security.
I think all of us had a wake-up call about it,” said Marcia Klein, chief of information strategies at Fort Belvoir. “September 11 made us realize we had to do more than what we were doing. It proved to us nothing is sacred. If the Pentagon can be attacked, nothing is safe.”
