The Rappahannock County High School freshman football team suffered a 40-0 defeat at the hands of the Madison County High School Mountaineers on Wednesday, Sept. 3 at RCHS.
The squad, with many firsttime players and first-time coach Monte Clinedinst made no apologies for the day and viewed the contest as a learning experience.
Coach Clinedinst made it clear that he was offering “no excuses” and hoped “that now the squad has a better idea of what it means to compete at the high school level.”
