• All Rappahannock County government offices will be closed Thursday, Jan. 1 and Friday, Jan. 2. They will reopen on Monday, Jan. 5. • All Department of Motor Vehicles customer service centers will be closed on Thursday, Jan. 1 and Friday, Jan. 2. They will reopen Saturday, Jan. 3. • The Rappahannock National Bank will close at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 31 and reopen on Friday, Jan. 2. • Rappahannock County public schools will reopen for students on Monday, Jan. 5. The School Board and each of the school offices will reopen for business on Friday, Jan. 2. • Rapidtran transportation services will not operate on Thursday, Jan. 1 and Friday, Jan. 2 in observance of New Year’s. Rapidtran is a program of the Rappahannock Rapidan Community Services Board & Area Agency on Aging. • On Monday, Dec. 5 the Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors will meet at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Rappahannock County courthouse on Gay Street (See agenda on Page A4).
