Rappahannock Hunt for 13 years.
The wine business allowed him to move from Washington, D.C., to Rappahannock full time in 1990. But the business went bust a year later and he wound up as a dishwasher at Four and Twenty Blackbirds Restaurant in Flint Hill. He moved up to bartending and waiting tables at the Bleu Rock Inn before leaving in 1995 to pursue photography full time.
