Fauquier County Government is recruiting for the position of Director of Environmental Services. This position manages a full-time staff of twenty-two employees and an annual operating budget of $5.8 million. Responsibilities include the operation of MSW and CDD landfills as well as supervision of six staffed convenient sites and a major recycling program.
Qualified applicants should possess a minimum of five years managerial experience relating to solid waste management, landfill operations, recycling operations, environmental program administration, and or regulatory reporting/corhpliance. A bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, or a closely related field is preferred. Salary range is $59,275 to $88,914.
