Combat Infantryman Badge recipients in Virginia. This award is presented to those who have met an armed enemy of1 the United States in close combat. Only a few veterans received this award. It is worn above all other decorations.

The Department of Motor Vehicles has designated Maj. Gary Gibbs, U.S. Army Ret., as sponsor to receive the required 350 paid applications for a special license plate to honor these veterans. We have received over 180 applications.
