Savings Through Energy Management (STEM) recommendations adopted by School Board.
The Board has approved these “No Cost” recommendations. We ask that all employees implement these as soon as possible:
• Blinds and curtains should be closed to conserve heat in the winter.
• When classes are not in rooms, lights should be turned off.
• If teachers do not have task lamps already, the lamps should be considered (These are not budgeted for 06-07. I brought in a spare lamp from home for my desk. It has a small fluorescent bulb.)*.
• When only the teacher is in the room, task light use should be maximized.
