|he Inn at Little Washington has been the anchor
ship for the Tbwn of Washington for over a decade. -L Despite the news of the breakup of the owner’s business partnership, the fate of the Inn itself is sealed.
It will continue undiminished and unblemished as a premiere eating establishment.
While certainly contributing over the years to the town’s coffers, it has done much more than that.
It has energized and revitalized not only the town but the entire county with its elegant and magical spirit.
The growing reputation of the Inn as a “go to” destination for gourmet tastes has brought overnight guests, visitors and diners to Rappahannock County from cities, counties, states and countries around the world and there is nothing to say that this will change.
As with any parting of ways, the two principles involved are in the process of negotiating the numerous properties that they currently share.
What happens with those is news yet to come.
But, as far as the Inn at Little Washington, it was created out of a labor of love, time, emotion and huge talent on the parts of Patrick O’Connell and Reinhardt Lynch and their legacy to the world of fine dining will continue intact.
Their Creation from a once former country store has grown into one of the finest restaurants in the world taking guests on a fabulous food journey amidst an atmosphere of pure whimsy and delight partnered with impeccable service.
That legacy will live on.
