After the tour Mello stated, “I believe that you have to start by giving back to the community rather than begin by asking for things,” he said. “When you return to your countries I would ask you to remember: If you have beautiful voices, show them off.”
One of the visitors commented on how much they had learned during their tour thus far. “When we came we thought that the school system was entirely funded by the national government,” she said, “It’s amazing to see how many people are involved in an American school.”
