Loudoun County Government This position provides professional nursing services in the areas of Maternal and Child Health, Family Planning. Immunizations, and Communicable Disease. Duties include: administers routine immunizations, performs nursing assessments, obtains health histories, performs age appropriate developmentals, performs routine diagnostic testing, obtains routine laboratory' specimens and interprets results to clients, provides routine health teaching, documents in record according to agency/department standards. This position offers a schedule of primarily weekdays. Monday-Friday, with only occasional weekend and evening assignments. Requires a BS in nursing from an accredited college or university and be licensed as a Registered Nurse in Virginia or eligible. Must have a minimum of three years of related experience. Must possess knowledge of professional nursing standards, ability to follow written and oral directions. Must have the ability to use a windows-based PC We have preceptorship orientation for all new hires. This position can be underfilled with a recently graduated nursing candidate. Willing to train the new graduate towards RN licensure. Must pass Boards within 90 days of hiring. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
