A fund raiser for Democratic U.S. Senate Candidate Jim Webb will be held on Sunday October 1 at the Harris Hollow farm of former Georgia Congressman and entertainer Ben “Cooter” Jones and wife Alma Viator. Billed as a “Blue Ridge Rally,” the event will be a large yard party for Webb to “try to raise as much money as possible,” according to hostess Alma Viator. Webb, a longtime acquaintance of Johnson and Viator, will attend and speak at the event.
“It’s a free event, and people from all the surrounding counties are invited,” said Viator.
