What a deal! Citizen of the Year
A small ceremony was held at the Washington home of Claudia Mitchell on Wednesday morning Dec. 31 to mark the announcement of the 2008 Citizen of the Year.
When Rappahannock News editor Mary Ann Kuhn presented the newspaper to a surprised Claudia, the look on Claudia’s face was priceless when she realized that she was the 2008 Citizen of the Year.
Those attending the ceremony which I and others thought was very touching were Diane Bruce, John and Bev Sullivan, Barbara Adolfi, Jerry Goebel, Ray Gooch, Kevin Adams, Jay Brown, and Rachel Hayden.
Claudia has devoted much of her time contributing and serving the Town of Washington and Rappahannock County.
