Tbe Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board and,Area Agency on Aging has announced its officers for 2009.
They are Roberta Anderson, Chair (Rappahannock County); Ingerid Refour, Ph.D., Vice-Chair (Fauquier County); and Linda Treakle, Secretary (Orange County).
The three officers along with George Kim Beach (Madison County) and Judy Shulick (Culpeper County) are members of the board’s executive committee for 2009.
The agency is a regional services provider for local governments created as a result of the acts of the Virginia General Assembly and the Federal Older Americans Act.
Its mission is to improve the quality of life for individuals and families by providing comprehensive mental health, mental retardation, substance abuse, and aging services that are consumer-focused, community-based, that promote dignity, choice and social integration and are evaluated based on outcomes.
