Among Geoff Gowen’s earliest memories of Chris is going on a drive with a cam-® era along, almost three years ago.
“I held the camera out to one side and took a picture of both of us,” recounted Gowen. “When I printed it, we just looked awful! We thought we looked like fugitives. I superimposed the words, ‘WANTED: Please report to your local sheriff if you have seen these individuals,’ and Chris put it up on his wall.”
Among the pair’s activities over the last three years have been hiking, kayaking, bowling, visits to battlefields, and the recent trip to Washington.
Chris said without his mentor, he might not be as interested in the battlefields and memorials. “I probably wouldn’t have gone to see them with anyone else.”
