The project is indeed at the mercy of uncertain times. But there are other aspects of the project that were left unresolved prior to commencement of construction that need not have been. With no referendum on the bond, it was incumbent on council to be absolutely clear about the financial impact to property owners well before • this point.
Other suggestions - such as those by Diane Bruc© - of continuing to search for other sources of funding like grants - are not only valid, but should be incorporated into the project
Instead of considering the project finalized and done, the town and council need to accept that it is now a work in progress, not only from a construction perspective, but from a financial one as well.
