March 14: Irish Fest

A St. Patrick’s Day parade and celebration will be held Saturday, March 14, sponsored by the Rappahannock County Lions Club. The parade in the town of Washington begins at 11 a.m. Irish lunch and an entertainment program with a traditional Irish band follows at 12 noon at the Washington fire hall. Tickets for lunch and the music program are available from Lions Club members at $10 each or email gannon54@comcast.net. The Sperryville Volunteer Rescue Squad will hold a dress swap on Saturday, March 28 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Anyone who has a pageant or prom dress hanging in their closest who would like to sell it is encouraged to participate.
