Maxine Thompson, of AmissviHe, VA. died Monday. February 9, 2009. She was a Fairfax County native. Mrs. Thompson, at 83, was considering retiring from her administrative role in the electrical contracting business she shared with h«-r son. Mother of n and their spouses. 14 grandchildren, as well as many others who adopted her as their mother. Known for her smile, she was active in her church, where she served as organist for 17 years. Reha Mae Woodard, age 70, of Sperryville died Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at Culpeper Regional Hospital. A graveside funeral service was conducted on Saturday, February 14. 2009 at 1.00 p.m. at the Washington Masonic Cemetery in Washington, VA with the Reverend John Burke officiating. Mrs. Woodard was born in Rappahannock County on June 2b. 1939 a daughter of the late Jake and Annie Smoot She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed crafts, sewing, flower gardening and cooking. Mrs. Woodard was a seamstress with the Kileen Company for 27 years. She attended Gib Brown Bible Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Burell Woodard j of Sperryville: her sons, Tim Woodard and wife Kirn of Lurav, I and Tony Woodard of Sperryville, her daughters. Donna Coffey and husband Frank of Sperryville and Patsy Ninel; and husband Mike of Front Royal: her brothers, Carl Smoot and wife Dorothy of Stephens City, and .Junvs Smoot and wife Maybell of Front Royal; her sisters. Anna Clatterbuck and Helen Smoot both of Washington: her five grandchildren. Travis Woodard, Katie Woodard, Brandy Pearre, Daniel Coffey, and Joshua Coffey, and one great-granddaughter. Alexis Pearre. !n addition to her parents, Mrs. Woodard was preceded m death by her sons. Anthony and Larry Woodard, her broth-r Jake Smoot and her sister Della Smoot. Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home in Front Royal was in j charge of the arrangements.
