Essay deadline
The United Daughters of the Confederacy, Culpeper Chapter #73, cordially invite all students of Rappahannock County to participate in their annual essay contest. For lower grades there is a coloring/drawing contest and upper grades will have an essay format. Private and home schooled students are encouraged to enter. Prizes will be awarded for each grade category. A copy of the essay rules and checklist may be obtained through the Rappahannock County Public Schools. April 25: Pageant
Miss Rappahannock Pageant, sponsored by the Sperryville Volunteer Rescue Squad, will be held Saturday. April 25, at 4 p.m. at the Rappahannock County Elementary School. The categories are: Baby Miss 0-11 months, Wee Miss 1 - 3 years, Tiny Miss 4 - 6 years. Little Mister 2 - 7 years, Little Miss 7 - 9 years, Junior Teen Miss 10-12 years. Teen Miss 13-15 years, Miss 1619 years. Friends- any agemale or female, siblings- any age- male or female, mother/daughter/son- any age. Registration is $35. Applications are available at county locations or by calling Deanna Wayland at 540987-8366, Sally Price at 540-987-9166 or email deannaleigh8@msn.com.
Rehearsal and final registration will be held Sunday, April 19 at 2 p.m. at the elementary school.
