February 16, 1984 The Washington Town Council received a request from Trinity Episcopal Church representatives Feb. 8 which is likely to spur work on the new zoning ordinance. Plans to expand the parish hall were presented by junior warden Henry C. Sutherland and vestryman Joe Sherman. An addition to the front of the existing parish hall would add an area measuring 21’3” by 25’5”, according to the drawings. The Gay Street side of the building would be in line with the front of the church proper. Those things falling from the sky Tuesday were not Valentines. Far from it. They were, as Rappahannock residents well know, rain drops. Enough of them to cause some powerful destructive forces.
