A major new facility designed to become the first multi-discipline horse and rider training center in the United States is scheduled to open Oct. 10 in the heart of the Virginia Piedmont horse country near The Plains.
That is what Arthur W. “Nick” Arundel, philanthropist and publisher of the Rappahannock News, has recently set about making happen at his new Momingside Training Farm just off US 17, about halfway between Warrenton and The Plains
The facility is being designed and constructed to meet grow ing demand in the nation’s horse sports for a place with top-quality facilities to tram thoroughbred horses and riders at national and international levels for event competition in steeplechasing, horse shows, polo and other horse sports
