CLAIRMONTE. the home of Dr. and Mrs. Berger, Washington, is one of the homes open for the house tour Oct. 31 and Nov. 1 This charming house was formerly called The Maples and was owned by the late Mrs. J. W. Price. Mrs. Frank Spalding and Miss Nancy Buntin are pictured on the lawn at Clairmonte. (The photo and caption ran in the Oct. 15, 1964 edition of the Rappahannock News.) The home became the Middleton Inn in October 1995 and is the Tea House for this year's house tour Oct. 17-18.
