5th Annual Artists of Rappahannock Studio & Gallery Tour, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., featuring 17 open studios and seven galleries with more than 50 new and returning artists showing newly created work in a wide vanety of media, including paintings, sculpture, pottery, glassworks, forged ironwork, jewelry, textiles, and photography. Start at the Washington Fire Hall Gallery to view representative pieces of work showing at all the studios and gallenes. • Indoor yard sale. Flint Hill Volunteer Fire Department, 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. Anyone wishing to donate items call the department, 540-675-3286, Bruce Williams at 540-635-4673 or Bill Jarrett at 540-675-1000. No clothing please.

• Annual Draw-down Dinner and Raffle hosted by the Rappahannock Lions Club, The Link, Sperryville. Up to 300 people attend this fun evening featuring dinner, music, dancing, vanous raffles and the exerting Draw-Down offenng a grand prize of $5,000. Tickets, which provide dinner for two, open bar, and an entry in the $5,000 drawing, cost $150, available from Rick or Kaye Kohler, at (540) 675-1373. Social hour, 6 p.m., dinner at 7 p.m. This is the Lions biggest annual fund raiser to support its community projects.

Sunday, Nov. 15

• Annual Chili Cook-Off and Bluegrass Festival of the 4-H Livestock Club, 1 - 5 p. m., at Rappahannock County High School. Participants will enjoy hearing music from various bluegrass musicians, sample chili from multiple chili cook-off contestants and collect holiday gifts at the silent auction. • Essay contest of The United Daughters of the Confederacy, Culpeper Chapter #73. Rappahannock County public, private and home schooled students are invited to participate in contest. Rules and essay topics may be found at Rappahannock County Public Schools, Wakefield Country Day School in Flint Hill, Hearthstone School in Sperryville. and at the Rappahannock County Public Library .
