Artist Jim Ramsay is celebrating his 80th year with a party on Oct. 3 from 2-5 p m. at Middle Street Gallery that doubles as the opening for his October show, “Seen Scenes," featuring 15 new drawings and paintings.
In a recent conversation about his life in art and this show, Ramsay says the arrival of his landmark birthday in August surprised him.
“All of a sudden, to understand that I am 80 years old' That startles me, at least as much as turning 21, and suddenly being able to order a drink legally and drive a car and stay out late without my parents asking me where I was," he said
