Legal Notices ___ - NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND INTENTION TO ADOPT ORDINANCE AMENDMENTS BY: THE TOWN OF WASHINGTON, VIRGINIA KINDLY TAKE NOTICE that the Town Council and Planning Commission of the Town of Washington, Virginia will hold a joint public hearing on the 14th day of October, 2009, beginning at 7:30 p m. at the Town Hall of Washington. Virginia to consider the adoption of the following ordinance amendments: 1 An ordinance to amend the Sewer Service District of the Town of Washington sewer project so as to add the following properties to the Sewer Service District: Tax Map #20A 1 22A - Alice Butler Tax Map #20A 1 78 - The Child Care and Learning Center, Tax Map #20 19E • J&B Virginia. LLC Portions of Tax Map #s 20A 1 15, 20A 1 21A and 20A 1 21B - The Inn at LW, LLC. The effect of the ordinance is to allow the above properties to be included within Phase I of the sewer system. 2. An amendment to the Town Sewer Ordinance to create an additional definition of "Existing User" so as to make eligible any structure existing as of January 1, 2009 within the Sewer Service District (Phase I of the project) whether or not such structure had sewage facilities, provided the owner makes application, executes the necessary easements and pays the installment due for the Sewer Assessment and all other fees and costs on or before October 26, 2009 If-such structure does not have a water tap. the owner shall also apply for a water tap by such date There are other conditions and requirements more fully set forth in the ordinance amendment. Complete copies of the proposed ordinance amendments are available at the town offices during normal business hours. All are invited to attend the public hearing at the time and place aforesaid and present their views The hearing is being held in a public facility believed to be accessible to persons with disabilities.
