Chateauville Foundation’s
season opens tins weekend
On Sunday, Oct 4, at 4 p m., the Chateauville Foundation will present an exceptional young Italian pianist, Alessandro Taverna, at the Castleton Theatre House.
This w ill be the foundation's third collaboration with Britain's Keyboard Trust, which has previously brought to Castleton Farms two highly memorable recitals by Alexander Romanovskv in November 2008 and Giuseppe Albanese in May 2009 *
Taverna, 25. has had a series of notable competition victories, most recently taking the first prize at the Minnesota International Competition in .July and the bronze medal at the prestigious Leeds Piano Competition in England He will be launching a U S. tour this autumn with his Castleton appearance
His program includes Bach's English Suite No. 5, Mendelssohn’s Fantasy, Op 28, Stravinsky’s Three Movements from Petrouchka and virtuoso showpieces of Lizst, Scriabin and Ligeti.
