Setting the right tone

Dorothy Hartle is often the first person our patients talk to when they come through our doors. As a Patient Access specialist, she registers inpatients and outpatients, and helps set the tone for the entire patient experience.

“I’m a people person, so I love working with the public,” Dorothy says. “Sometimes the patients are having a bad day because they are sick, or they are confused about what their health insurance will cover, so I offer my assistance in any way I can. That can mean anything from just being there to listen, to resolving a complicated insurance problem. It feels really good knowing that I can help.”
