The store manager also recommended the rawhide “chew toys* as great gifts for dogs. They cost $6 to $16. Finally, there was a large assortment of Santa and reindeer-shaped plush toys priced from $12 to $17.
The Town Duck, which is located on Main Street in Old Town, offers some practical presents for pooches.
There are pink and black “jackets” specifically designed for smaller dogs. Each one is sold with a detachable hot/cold pack. According to the label, the jackets are perfect for dogs that have arthritis, or for canine companions that just need a little extra warmth. They cost $35.
