Rappahannock County High School is enjoying a new face in its classrooms and hallways. Donald O’Meara, an Ashbum, Va., native, is well into his first year as a special education teacher at RCHS, but he already has added to his official duties.
O’Meara is qualified on the court and he is serving as the head girls’ varsity basketball coach.
Coach O’Meara graduated from Leesburg Christian School in Loudoun County before playing basketball at Pfeiffer University in North Carolina. He packs 10 years of basketball coaching experience in his duffel bag of talent most recently leading varsity girls at Culpeper County High School and, for the last five years, girls at Highland School
