This year, there are 63 choir members, 20 orchestra members, and a production and backstage crew of more than " 100 people.
The Living Christmas Tree program is a favorite holiday event within the community. S'! “We never have tickets left over," Renfro-Smith said. “It has been very successful here in this community and something for the whole family to enjoy.”
The program provides something for people of all ages. It consists of songs everyone has grown up hearing, and the children adore the tree.
“Who doesn’t love a giant Christmas tree with blinking lights?" Renfro-Smith won-* dered.
The tree is 21 feet high, 18 feet in diameter, and supports 10,800 pounds. Last year, its decorations included 3,700 multicolored lights, 40 red bows, 1,500 feet of greenery, 100 feet of tinsel garland, and 70 poinsettias.
