• Spay and neuter van trip sponsored by Rappahannock Animal Welfare League. RAWL offers simple and affordable spay neuter services to Rappahannock and neighboring county dogs and cats. Partnered with the Shenandoah Low Cost Spay Neuter Veterinary Clinic, it coordinates trips for 20 or more animals at a time. The program presents animal owners with a chance to spay'neuter at a fraction of the ordinary cost (fees range from $50 to $90). Preregister no later than Nov. 28. and payment required. • Concealed Carry of Handguns" training. 10 hours, at Amissville Volunteer Fire Department, hosted by the Rappahannock County Sheriff's Office. The course is free and open to Rappahannock County residents. The course in basic handgun shooting and safety, which includes range time, requires no prior experience with a handgun but students will need to provide their own handgun and at least 100 rounds of ammunition.
