A Welsh Christmas begins

toward the end of November, and by the beginning of December Christmas spirits are at their peak.

Families, at this time, will begin to purchase their Christmas trees or set up artificial trees which are extremely popular in urban areas.

In rural areas, on the other hand, families can collect a real tree from local forestries, which many people prefer as it is more homey. ’ Once home, the whole family will decorate the Christmas tree with a variety of colorful and eye-catching objects, such as tinsel, shiny baubles and occasionally a set of fairy lights.

Often, there will be a star or angel figure placed at the top, and this is the main focus of the tree.
