Soil Saver Notes
Ten farm ponds were stocked with Large Mouth Bass in Culpeper and Rappahannock counties Tuesday of this week. The fish were made available through the Culpeper Soil Conservation District and placed in the ponds by Soil Conservation Service technicians working in co-operation with the district.
Among those receiving fish were A. D. Williams, Winston, 1 acre pond; Beauregard Farm, Brandy, 2 acres; Rochester Ropes, Inc., Culpeper, 0.9 acres; E. T. Willis, Jr., Culpeper, 1.2 acres; Marion E. GloVer, Crooked Run, 0.5 acre; J. Walton Loving, Culpeper, 2.4 acres; all Culpeper county farmers, Three farmers in Rappahannock county received: bass for their ponds, Mrs. Helen C. Smith, Washington, 0.5 acre; Mrs. Lucy H. Wood, Flint Hill, 1.0 acres; and R. M. Menefee, Sperryville, 2.3 acres.
