Clarence Jones of Crowder Or- - chards near Flint Hill has consigned some nice Hampshire, gilts to the Winchester sale to be held in August. These gilts were bred to farrow in September. Nelson Atkins, Jr., 4-H club member, will also consign a nice young Poland-' China boar to the same sale and in addition plans to consign a bred gilt to the winter sale. GeoC. Herring '-while «inspectir»g these* heards in behalf of the Virginia Purebred Swine Breeder’s Association expressed great admiration •for Junior’s gilt. This gilt will be carrying the senice of Virginia Lad which is proclaimed by several livestockmen of statewide reputations to be one of the finest Poland China boars in Virginia. Virginia Lad is owen by Charles Ashby Green of Amissville who we hope will see fit to show the boar at the Atlantic Rural this fall.
