Edward M. Matthews, area director, division of war veterans' claim, advises that the deadline on filling terminal leave pay has been extended to June 30, 1951. World War 11 veterans who were separated from service before September 1, 1946 and who failed to file application for their . terminal leave may do so now.
It is known that there are numerous veterans within this area who will receive some monetary benelt provided they file a claim. The local office of the division of war veterans’ claims located in Front Royal is open Monday thru Friday. Mathews makes regular visites within this area as shown below and assistance in completing these claims can be obtained by contacting him or the Front Rroyal office.
The visits to Washington are on Monday afternoon at the Courthouse (2-4:30 p.m.)
