Mrs. Lizzie Hughes
Mrs. Lizzie Hughes, 92, died Wednesday morning, July 5, at the home of her grandson, Oliver Johnson at Smedley.
Funeral services were held at the Promiseland Baptist church Friday at 2 o’clock in the afternoon, with the Rev. 0. D. Jackson, pastor of the church officiating. Interment was in the family grave yard, at the home in Smedley.
Active pallbearers were John Rjchard Simmons, Edward Pratt, Tellus Poles, Francis Carter, and Marshall Fletcher.
Surviving are one daughter and two sons, Mrs. Annie "Wallace, of Hagerstown, Md., Melvin Hughes, of Martinsburg, West Va., and George and James Hughes of Washington.
