county and the Williams, Willis, Beauregard and Glover ponds, in Culpeper county. The Blue Gill (Bream) species was placed in these ponds, last fall. Complete stocking of the other ponds mentioned will take place later in the summer or early fall.
The construction of new farm ponds is going ahead full force. Three ponds have been completed in Rappahannock county during the past several weeks. Charles E. Karsh. Washington, has construct— ed a 1.9 acre pond; Elmer J. Nalls, Washington, a 0.7 acre; and J. K. Vardaman, Washington, a 1 acre pond. Several ponds are now under construction and will be completed during the next ten days.
Irish Potatoes for Feed

The U. S. Department of Agriculture may have Irish potatoes for sale for use as livestock feed, which are acquired under the 1350 Irish Potato Price Support Program. Potatoes for livestock feed will not be furnished on the same basis as in 1949, under the program this year such potatoes must be purchased by the feeder at point of Government purchase. The program will not operate after August 15, 1950, and will probably be terminated earlier. The livestock feeder must arrange his own hauling or pay freight in minimum freight carlots (300 cwt) from purchase point to destination and must also pay for the potatoes when placing his order at the following rates, per cwt.
