Put cucumbers in stone jar, add salt and cover with boiling water. Cover jar and let set overnight. Wash cucumbers in cold water and drain in colander. Pour vinegar over cucumbers and let come to a .boil. Pack cucumbers in hot jars. To vinegar add sugar and spices (tied in cheese cloth bag), let boil 6 minutes, remove Spice bag and pour syrup ovevr cucumbers and seal.
