As tourist travel began to reach its peak and Virginia reeled under a staggering toll of 21 traffic dead for the long Fourth of July week end, Col. C. W. Woodson, Jr., Superintendent of State Police, and Executive Chairman of the Governor’s Highway Safety pommi ttee, called upon motorists to observe a few simple precautions which can prevent them from becoming vacation victims.
