One of the largest H.D. meetings we have had in Slate Mills for some time was held at the home of Mrs. George Nethers October 18 at 7:30 p.m. The subject of the United Nations Flag was discussed and the flag was shown to the group. Then a demonstration was given on “Ideas for making your own Christmas gifts.” The hostess served *most delicious refreshments. The club will meet with Mrs. Stonewall Kilby next month.

Then all the persons present were shown how to stencil trays. Eight trays were * completed at the meeting. The hostess served delicious cocoa and cookies.
A living room improvement program has been going' on in the county-'all year. The’climax of this program will come next month. Ten perions have improved their living room in the county and on their H4>. club regular
