Mr. and Mrs. Walter Krause entertained at 3 tables of Rook Saturday evening, having as their guests, Mr. and Mrs. B. J. Wood, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wood, Mr. and Mrs. John McGehee, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Moore, Miss Nancy Moore, J. D. Keyser, Lyde Dearing, Mrs. G. W. Smith, Jr. First prise for the ladies was won by Mrs. Charles Wood, and the first .prize for men was won by Charles Wood.

ENTERTAINS AT BRIDGE

Mrs. Wade H. Massie , Jr., entertained the bridge club Tuesday evening at her home, “Hampden Hall,” having as her guests, Mrs. T. C. Lea, Mrs. Lewis Turner, Mrs. J. W. Price, Mrs. Robert Massie, Mrs. Frank Moffett, Mrs. Charles Bruce, Mrs. J. E. Keyser, Mrs. Elizabeth DeBergh, and Mts. W. G. Eastham. Mrs. DeBergh won high score; Mrs. Moffett, low; Mrs. J. E. Keyser, traveling; and Mrs. Bruce, bingo.

UNITED THANK OFFERING PRESENTATION

The' Fall ingathering of the United Thank Offering of the women of the Episcopal church will be presented at Trinity church, Washington, on November 5, at the 11:00 o’clock service. An envelope will be mailed to each woman in the church, in which the contents of the Blue Box is to be placed, and brought to the church on the first Sunday in November.
