The ladies, themselves, are beginning to get a little tired of the affair. They had enough work to do as it was—housekeeping, teaching, running a beauty parlor, and being secretary to the county agent—and now with fall cleaning, plus the extra work of the duties of public office, and all the calls for them to pose for pictures and answer questions, they stay on a perpetual merry-goround. Their only consolation is that it will die down soon and they can hibernate for the winter in peace.
